Alex is now in the 7-8 age group, while Ryan is still in the 6 and under, so they are no longer racing against each other.
Both boys managed to win their heats for the Breaststroke, and Alex also won his heat for the 50M freestyle. It was his first time to swim a 50M race, and I wasn't sure how successful that would go for him (all their other races have been 25M, ie just across the pool - in the 50M, you go up and down the pool).
We were so proud of both of them, and its totally worth waking up and leaving the house at 5:45 am on a Saturday.*
