President Lincoln

Last week, the third graders held their Living History Museum at Spicewood.

It should come as no surprise that our little Civil War buff chose Abraham Lincoln for his project. ")

Chris and Al came to press his button, and watch him perform. And we grabbed Ryan from his class so he could also watch big brother.
Alex did a great job, having researched Lincoln, and written his entire two page speech himself.
I had printed out this nice prop for him to hold, tied up with a red ribbon, but "somehow" that got left in the classroom.

Still, I could not be more proud of Mr. Lincoln, and his success at abolishing slavery.

And here are a few of our adorable friends...

Bonus Feature: Dress Rehearsal at home, when I'm not sure if we are channeling Lincoln or Nixon.
