Frio Fourth

We spent the 4th of July this year with my family at my Uncle Bobby's property in Frio. We had a great time visiting with the family, playing in the water, with all the animals, and riding Bobby's trolley.

The water levels were low, but the boys still managed to find enough water to splash around in.

And we also cooled off in Bobby's "cool" tub.

Alex also enjoyed finding some eggs that one of Bobby's chickens had laid in the center of some inter-tubes.

It was odd not having any fireworks, or even sparklers for the 4th. Especially since we were out in the country. When I was growing up, we alsway made it a point to spend the 4th in Boerne at my grandmother's house, just so we could legally set off the fireworks. And now this year... nothing.

And the boys found lots of other ways to amuse themselves.

 The 4th also started the first official day of Camp Granny. The boys are spending the week with my mom, aunt, uncle and grandmother, and we'll get them back on Friday. I can't wait to hear all about it!
